How it works
Three simple steps, and everything stays put.
01 Insert
The opening is at the top.
Generously cut and easy to reach: the prosthesis slides in from above, without tugging or twisting, in seconds.
Works with partial and full prostheses of all common sizes.
02 Enclose
A mesh that holds.
LA MESMA developed this double-sided mesh specifically for the purpose. Its structure keeps the prosthesis in place instead of letting it slip, even with large and heavy prostheses.
Lightweight, quick-drying, resistant to chlorine and salt water.
03 Close
The second layer folds over it.
Like the petals of a tulip, the upper mesh layer closes over the prosthesis. No open edge, no gap, no slipping to the side.
Hence the name: Tulip System.
04 The construction
Two layers that overlap.
Seen from the side, the principle becomes clear: the inner layer forms a U that opens at the top and carries the prosthesis. The outer layer folds over it from above and overlaps both sides, front and back. The pocket opens and closes through exactly this overlap, from above.

05 The result
Fully enclosed.
The prosthesis is completely surrounded by mesh. From the outside you see nothing of it, just a top.
No readjusting at the pool edge. Not a second thought.
The Tulip System is not an add-on. It is built into every top in the collection.
Fit and sizes
Your size may have changed. That is okay.
After breast surgery, your old size often no longer fits. Three steps help you find the right one, without trying anything on in a shop.

Measure your torso
Your torso measurement decides the fit, not your dress size. Measure over the fullest part of the bust, then down between the legs and back up to the starting point.

Compare with the size chart
Every model has its own size chart with exact measurements. You will find it on the product page under “Size chart”.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. Or order both and keep the one that feels right.

Will my prosthesis fit the pocket?
The Tulip System is designed for partial and full prostheses of all common sizes, including large and heavy ones. The pocket opens from above and can be filled without tugging.
Can the prosthesis slip out while swimming?
No. The outer layer overlaps the inner one at the front and back. The prosthesis stays where it belongs, even in the water.
Can anyone tell from the outside that it is swimwear for after breast surgery?
No. From the outside it is modern swimwear. The Tulip System is invisibly integrated on the inside.
Does it work after single and double mastectomy?
Yes. Every top has pockets built in on both sides.
Can I wear the styles without a prosthesis?
Yes. Our styles are fashion first. The Tulip System sits invisibly inside and waits until you need it.
